Testimonials
I love the NCA Speed Camp! It was even better this year than it was last year. I don't think I could ever go back to a traditional camp.
Carrie, you do a great job of making us feel welcome right from the start by greeting us as we walk through Alvarez Hall doors. You're always patient and helpful when we are turning in forms because no matter how I prepare there is always a form missing something, lol. The UTSA facilities are so clean! This is by far one of the things I enjoy most as an adult. Staying in a dorm room is starting to get harder as I get older (lol), but Thank goodness it is clean and comfortable. This extends to the rec center and dinning hall. I think my kids enjoying the breakfast and lunches the most! They love the variety that the dinning hall offers and the abundant space. Those on the team that remember the resort camp days always say that dinning at UTSA is so much better because they don't have to worry about going back to practice or bed hungry.
The NCA staff was incredible! Christina was a great director! I really enjoyed the way she would break stunts down during the coach's meetings and allow us the opportunity to really get in there to take pictures and videos. In addition to the stunts, she also gave us some great drills to use to help our cheerleaders grow. I am already planning to implement so many of them at practices next month. Our buddy Shawn has grown so much! Shawn was one of our buddies last year, and he did well then also, but he really out did himself this year. His choreography was on point, and he had the right level of difficulty to challenge the team but also allowed them to feel successful. Shawn also helped my team to get personal goals. He encouraged them on the All American Tracks that he thought would be best for them and was always ready to observe the team, so individual could earn their All American nominations.
All of the NCA staff at Speed Camp is great! I've said it already, but I will never return to a traditional camp if I can help it. There is always someone available to help, and we get help from so many others staffers. It was an all around great experience!
I look forward to seeing you next year!
